NPMA joins pest management professionals across the world to celebrate our essential industry.
On June 6, 2021 we recognize World Pest Day, a multinational event established to raise awareness among the public, government, and media about the work that pest control professionals do daily to ensure public health and safety. The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) is joining pest management professionals across the world in recognition and celebration of the invaluable impact the industry has on our everyday lives and well-being, especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Public health officials attribute the good quality of life we have today to three things, one of them being better pest control,” said Dominique Stumpf, CEO at NPMA. “The past 15 months were certainly challenging for the global pest control industry as we navigated the pandemic, but it confirmed one thing – our industry is essential and stronger when we work together.”
Leaders from more than 30 pest management associations around the world have gathered as the Global Pest Management Coalition, where international leaders work together on current issues impacting the industry and our society. These leaders promptly met at the start of the pandemic and kept the lines of communication flowing to ensure our industry remained steady and resilient worldwide. The mission of the Global Pest Management Coalition is to create a unified voice across the globe promoting the value of pest management as an essential service in ensuring the protection of health, home, food, and business. No matter what obstacles they may face, the Coalition continues to push forward in their mission to make the world a healthier place.
